Operation Never Forgotten

In 2025, Operation Never Forgotten (ONF) collaborated its mission with 10 CAN to continue rebuilding lives for those who have sacrificed after serving to protect us and our freedoms. Continued efforts promote healing through outdoor adventures, mentorship, education, and awareness campaigns to NEVER FORGET our fallen heroes, Veterans, first responders and surviving families.

Behind ONF is Linda Kelly who launched the national nonprofit organization in 2005, after her Marine son and Navy husband deployed to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Ms. Kelly was destined to use her creative skills to make public service announcements (PSAs) promoting honor, recognition and empowerment for Gold/Green Star Families, deployed troops, physically/invisibly wounded Veterans and caregivers.

For two decades, Ms. Kelly produced digital outdoor billboards that lit up on highways and in cities across the nation. Graphic messages populated throughout international airports, subways, Times Square and major malls. Television PSAs were then created for veteran suicide prevention. Similar to 10 CAN, Ms. Kelly and her team hosted transition workshops, outdoor sports, wilderness adventures and guided hunts.

The inspiration behind Ms. Kelly's very first billboard in 2004 was for Peg O'Donnell, the mother of one of the many fallen in her son's Marine Unit.

Lee Greenwood was ONF’s spokesman for 7 years, and many other celebrities supported ONF’s events. Ms. Kelly is the recipient of a “Lifetime Achievement” award from the office of the President of the United States.

The legacy of ONF and the “Never Forgotten” mission continues graciously through 10 CAN. If you would like to inquire about support, outdoor events, volunteering, and/or billboards for Gold/Green Star Families, email10 CAN for more information.
